Jack picks up a dog biscuit to eat when Francis catches him in the kitchen. When he leaves to go back to his room, he puts the dog biscuit in his left coat pocket. Later, when he crawls on the ledge, the dog barks at him. So, he tosses the dog biscuit to quiet the dog - three separate times - and takes them from his right coat pocket.
Smooth starts painting on a new canvas, almost all in red, then goes to take a phone call in a booth. When he returns, the painting is different and some green has been added.
When Smooth is showing the gang slides of the painting and museum layout, he is standing in front of the screen and uses a cane for a pointer - but no shadows are cast on the screen, nor are any of the images projected on himself or the cane. This reveals the images are being rear-projected on the screen and are not coming from the slide projector on the table in the same room. Any shadows seen on the screen are being made from a studio light coming from a different direction.
When Sally is giving Smooth his art lesson, he says he will put more red on the canvas, but uses blue paint instead.
