The Mercenary (1968)

Goofs

The Mercenary

Edit

Continuity

At 38:46 Sergei Kowalski is sitting at a table with a drink and a plate of 3 eggs observing the bank robbery. During the next two minutes he eats 2 eggs after which 2 eggs remain on his plate (40:47). At 39:44 when he aims and fires his pistol, no eggs are on his plate.

Revealing mistakes

At around 40:01, when the camera closely faces the machine-gun spinning around before the bank attack, the barrel appears obviously plugged.

Anachronisms

Sergei Kowalski uses a Spanish Astra 400 pistol. The pistol was not introduced until 1921, after the Mexican Revolution.
A plane is used to bomb Paco's fort. However planes did not begin to drop bombs until the late stages of WWI, in which they were dropped by hand.
