Goofs

The fuel truck was moving through town with the rest of the convoy, but when it suddenly explodes it has completely stopped.

Capt. Curry and Sgt. Ruffo pass by the same car on its side twice between shots after they are picked up at the airport and driven through town at the beginning of the film.

There are already cut diamonds in the stash. They don't mine cut diamonds in Congo - or anywhere else for that matter.

The Swedish UN forces are seen carrying the FN FAL rifle. Neither the regular Swedish Army nor the Swedish UN troops ever used this rifle.

Curry wears a French Foreign Legion paratrooper insignia on his beret, but requires constant translation when anyone speaks French. Either the badge is fake and undeserved, or he is the worst legionnaire there ever was!

One scene where Taylor fires the .50 cal machine gun, you can clearly see there is no ammo can in the holder attached to the weapon and no ammo belt visible.

Apparently no blank ammo was available for the .50 caliber heavy machine guns carried on the train. When they are "fired" at the attacking UN plane, there is no recoil or movement of the ammo belt. The muzzle flash was painted onto the film later.
