The desert scene shows the Saguaro cactus as well as the Beaver Tail. The Saguaro is native only to the Sonoran Desert, which spans southern Arizona and California as well as parts of northern Mexico.
Starting with this short, production moved from DePatie-Freleng Enterprises back to the Warner Bros. studio, renamed as Warner Bros.-Seven Arts following its acquisition by Seven Arts Productions two weeks prior to the short's release. Alex Lovy would initially direct all cartoons before WB veteran Robert McKimson would return to the studio a year later.
