Rough Night in Jericho (1967)

Goofs

Rough Night in Jericho

Edit

Continuity

Obvious stunt doubles in the fight between Dolan and Yarbrough, with Dolan's double having dry, straw-coloured hair compared to Dolan's (George Peppard) own hair being darker and, certainly, not dry.
When Dolan is trapped in the canyon, he jumps one of Flood's men and steals his horse. The horse has a single white star on the face and a simple saddle. When Dolan arrives back at Molly's, the horse has a large white face stripe, and the saddle rig has a chest strap.
In the final horse chase, the horses Dolan and Flood are riding change. Flood's horse has a brown mane going into the rocks, and then it has a black mane. Dolan leaves town on a brown horse, but the horse he's riding at the rocks has white socks.
When Molly and the men are waiting at her place for Dolan to come back from blowing up the mine, Molly's face still shows the bruises from Flood having beat her. When Dolan arrives and Molly asks about Hickman's card playing, her face is unblemished.
In the final confrontation, Dolan calls out Flood's name; when Flood turns, Dolan throws his knife into his chest. Flood has his rifle in both hands and doesn't shoot when he turns, but he is holding his rifle in one hand out to his right side, exposing his chest, when hit by the knife.

Factual errors

One of Flood's men is shot in the face with a shotgun at point blank range. He grabs his face as his head snaps back. A shotgun blast like that would blow his head to pieces, there would be no snapping back or face grabbing, the man"s head would be splattered all over the ground.

Revealing mistakes

When Hickman is holding a shotgun on the two deputies, one of the deputies starts undoing his gun belt before he is told to do so.

Character error

In the final confrontation, Dolan leaves his pistol behind and literally takes a knife to a gunfight when he confronts Flood, who has both a rifle and pistol. Then he calls out to Flood who is trying to bushwhack him before throwing the knife.
