The director is Mr. Hasenpfeffer, which is actually the name of a German-Dutch dish made of marinated rabbit. Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam dealt with the actual creation in the 1962 short "Shiskabugs."
The title is a pun on "Rocket to Stardom," a Los Angeles TV show that aired locally for several years during the 50s-60s.
Both the Chinese Theater (with its iconic courtyard) and the intersection of Hollywood and Vine are shown here. Though Hollywood has changed a bit from its halcyon days, these attractions still welcome visitors from all over the world in 2023.
Daffy's leading lady, Ducky L'Amour, is a play on the famous screen star Dorothy Lamour, who was known for starring with Bob Hope and Bing Crosby in the popular Road to... film series.
This cartoon and the next to be released, Go Away Stowaway (1967), are the only two cartoons to use the "Abstract WB" opening titles with a "Warner Bros.-Seven Arts Inc." copyright byline, replacing "Warner Bros. Pictures Inc.".
