James Coburn in The President's Analyst (1967)

Goofs

The President's Analyst

Edit

Continuity

After Nan is moved to a hotel, a camera shadow is visible on the CEA director and Sidney as the director pulls Sidney to the right.
Don gives Sidney an ID badge. Looking over Sidney's shoulder, both hands are on the ID, but when seen from the front his hands are apart and the ID is in his right hand.
When Sydney and Kropotkin are talking, they lie on a couch. Under Sydney's head, there is something like a cushion (purple). On the close-up of Sydney's head, the cushion is missing.
Sidney talks with Kropotkin while dinning. He says "who arrested your mother ?", Kropotkin answers "my father". Sidney is then seen with his left fist on his chin and he says "Hmmm...tell me about your mother". Between the "Hmmm" and "talk", he is now wiping his mouth with a napkin.
After the dinner on the boat, Sydney leaves the dining room, followed by Kropotkin, who is not wearing his captain cap. When the two are going down a flight of stairs, we can clearly see that Kropotkin has his two hands empty. In the next shot, on the lower deck, he has the cap on his head.

Factual errors

When Sullivan shoots his revolver to kill the Canadian agent, he fires 7 shots. The revolver holds only 6.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

Every line referring to the "FBR" or "CEA" is dubbed, often quite obviously. The actors were actually saying "FBI" and "CIA," but at the behest of the actual agencies the names were changed in post-production.
