All things Latin American were in vogue at the time of this short. Cuisine, decor, sound and fashion all had a south of the border flair. The soundtrack here likewise has influences from popular groups of the era, such as Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass.
This was the last Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies shorts produced by DePatie-Freleng Enterprises until Warner Bros./Seven Arts Animation re-opened its studio in July 1967.
