Near the beginning, when Wile has his feet caught in the tar-bucket, he hops away along the road into the distance before he suddenly starts hopping really quickly back the way he came, getting stuck in the tar that he had spread across the road earlier and almost immediately afterwards getting run over by a lorry. However, until that point there was no sign of the lorry chasing him as he hopped frantically back towards the tar; it just suddenly came out of nowhere and hit him.
When the Tin Coyote catches the Road-Runner and is commanded to 'Eat', the Tin Coyote eats Wile E. - but is not commanded to let the Road Runner go. After Wile E. crawls out of the Tin Coyote's ear, he has to restart the hunt, because somehow the Road Runner got away.
