Plot

The film is based on the autobiographical book "Day Stars" published in 1959 by the Leningrad writer Olga Bergholz, who survived the most difficult years of the siege in the besieged city. It was during this period that she created some of her best works, including poems dedicated to the defense of Leningrad.
