Goofs

They are a year into their mission, nearing light speed (as one character tells us) but yet they have instantaneous radio communication with Earth.

IC-1 is shown passing by twinkling stars several times. Of course in space there would be no atmosphere that causes stars to twinkle.

There is a door with a stairway that leads to the upper level of the ship. The stairs were constructed a bit too high or too close to the door frame, because everyone has to duck when they pass through the door as the go up or come down the stairs. The rest of the ship was constructed with plenty of head room.
