- Joan Rand, an attractive suburban housewife plagued with money troubles, decides to augment her stenographer's salary by accepting her employer's offer to pay for her physical favors. At the motel where she conducts her "moonlighting," she conceives the idea of organizing a group of housewives to perform similar services in exchange for money, all under the guise of doing temporary office work. After forming a partnership with a local golf pro named Al Jordan, Joan uses his contacts to find customers while she rounds up the necessary women. All goes well with the operation, despite Joan's quarrels with her husband, until another housewife, Nancy Preston, refuses to participate in the "parties" for businessmen. By informing Nancy's husband of her infidelity with Al, Joan manages to force the reluctant housewife into joining the stable of call girls. Eventually, when the ring's strong-arm beats up a local prostitute, the girl phones the police and identifies Joan as head of the operation. Although additional information is given to the authorities by Nancy, the police are unable to move in without a witness or a warrant.
