One of the first scenes in the film shows a man moving a barrel on a pier with men disembarking a ship. A few minutes later the exact same scene is repeated.

For some reason, whenever the name "Moriarty" is mentioned in dialogue, it is pronounced as a 5-syllable word, Moriarity. This seems to be at odds with the accepted pronunciation, as well as the spelling.

The English children in the opening scene of the English-language version, speak with American accents.

When Holmes speaks with his pipe between his teeth, the pipe does not click, due to post-dubbed dialogue.

The beer glasses in all the pub scenes are German lager designs. There are no traditional British pint and half-pint glasses anywhere.

The amount of beer in (the disguised) Sherlock Holmes's glass varies considerably between shots during the final scene set in the Hare and Eagle Pub.
