After the pianist Jesús Franco is killed, he is later seen playing the piano again in another scene.
In the English-dubbed version a female witness said about the perpetrator that "he walked like a robot". The story was set in 1912, and the word "robot" first appeared in a Czech science fiction play in 1921. The writer was Karel Capek.
An insulin injection is mentioned but insulin was not isolated until 1921 and the first injection was given in 1922. This film is set in 1912 as a date can be seen on a theatre poster.
