When Mrs. Mandel waves a $50 bill at Berry-Berry, the bill turns upside down between the long shot and the close-up.

During the Christmas scene, there is a December 1961 calendar in the kitchen. A few months later when Berry-Berry visits for coffee, the calendar is from April 1961.

When Ralph asks Berry-Berry if he'd like to split a nightcap, Ralph's glass is about three-quarters full. After a cut to show Berry-Berry's quick refusal, the camera immediately returns to Ralph, whose glass is now less than a quarter full.

Clinton and Berry-Berry's location while they hitch-hike on the bridge changes drastically. In one shot there's no draw-bridge behind them, but in the next shot during continuous action , there is a draw-bridge.

When Clinton goes downstairs for breakfast, there is a photo of Berry-Berry on top of his dresser in front of a model ship. When Clinton goes back to his bedroom, the photo is no longer there.

Just before Berry-Berry meets the schoolteacher character (Barbara Baxley) when he's working in the gas station, the radio station being broadcast identifies itself as beginning with the letter 'K.' All TV and radio stations East of the Mississippi have call letters that begin with the letter 'W.'

In the scene where Berry-Berry and Clinton are walking through the apple orchard, the trees are in full bloom. Berry-Berry picks and eats an apple.

Apple trees bloom in the spring and while in bloom do not produce apples.

In the opening scene, after the Title Sequence concludes, a tracking shot follows Clinton as he makes his way into a Hotel to find his brother. As he moves through the outer vestibule area and enters the lobby through a makeshift entrance cut into the bottom of a window, you can see the shadow of the Camera and Cameraman (or other Crew member on the Dolly) pass over the wicker furniture and the wall next to the entrance.

Berry-Berry is supposedly working at a gas station in or near Miami, Florida - according to the radio station he is listening to. However, he is working at a Richfield Oil Company gas station, which were located primarily in west coast states.

When Clinton meets Echo after the book club meeting in Cleveland, in the background is a huge plaque commemorating the "Fred W. Green Camp 120". This is the United Spanish War Veterans group in Culver City, California.

The shadow of the boom mic can be seen on the wall to the right as Angela Lansbury drops clothes into the laundry chute.
