Roommates (1961)

Goofs

Roommates

Edit

Continuity

When the students arrive to give a concert as a string quartet, Alex's aunt (Ambrosine Phillpotts) directs the players, "Will you all take your coats in the room there, with 'Artistes' written on the door?" The door through which they pass to their dressing room has nothing written on it.
About 13 minutes in there's a scene in a canteen. Leslie Phillips carrying a tray dashes past Kenneth Williams to beat him to a seat. He sits down at the end of a table on which there's a soup plate and a cup and saucer. There's then a close up of Kenneth then back to Leslie who's now eating soup and his tray has disappeared. There's then a shot of Kenneth walking to another table then the camera returns to Leslie who's now seen just sitting down and holding his tray.

Plot holes

When Mervyn (Leslie Phillips) writes his tune, he is drunk and the story about it gets sent to a music paper, gets printed and published and sent to the shops, and gets read all before his hangover from that time wears off.
