Mona wants to break into show business and she thinks dating Buddy will help get her connected to his dad. Buddy falls for the girl, not knowing he's being used.
Now that the honeymoon period has passed Dan's parents decide to visit. The time chosen coincides when Nan's mom is there. The in-laws heave very different approaches to life.

Buddy's football team is on a losing streak and Nan, after studying the situation, has the solution. She thinks the boys would play better if they had ballet lessons. Unsurprisingly she meets resistance.
