Strangers When We Meet

Edit

Continuity

When Larry is going in to grocery store he takes a cart and pushes it over to Felix, but when he starts talking to Felix he has no cart and he does not retrieve it when he leaves Felix to enter store.
In the kitchen scene where Larry and his wife tell their young son Peter to never-mind about "S-E-X" and to drink his milk, the boy drinks the glass of milk to about 2/3 empty. After the camera cuts away and returns, the glass of milk appears almost full and untouched.
When she's getting ready to leave the party at Larry's house, Maggie goes to their bedroom to pick up her coat (all of the partygoers' coats had been laid out there on the bed). There is at least another coat or jacket by the pillow area of the bed when she comes in, but a moment later after she has looked around the bedroom and peeked into their bathroom, when Maggie walks by the bed to leave, the other coat or jacket by the pillow is missing. It is "possible" another guest "could have" have reached in and grabbed it, but it is highly unlikely since Maggie was only in the bedroom for a moment and she was never surprised by anyone coming in and catching her kind of snooping around.

Factual errors

When Felix is advising Larry about the dangers of cheating on his wife, he warns him to watch out not to leave blonde hair pins laying around because Larry's wife Eve has black hair. In reality, actress Barbara Rush sported reddish auburn hair.
Marcia pours herself a glass of Gordon's Distilled London Dry Gin (as it was labeled at the time), finishing the bottle. But a few minutes later, she tells Roger "We're all out of Holland Gin". Holland Gin, also known as Genever, is a different spirit from the British-style London Dry Gin, which Gordon's made and sold.
When Kirk Douglas is with his wife toward the end of the movie, she's telling him she can't live without him, he's got one hair style, the same one throughout the movie. The next scene he's meeting Kim Novak to say goodbye sporting a shorter haircut and the final scene of Mr. Douglas, as he watches Ms. Novak leave, he has an even shorter haircut almost a buzz.

Errors in geography

The address that Larry has for Roger Altar's apartment building is 1200 Rossmore, but the building is actually at number 316.
