It Takes a Thief (1960)

Goofs

It Takes a Thief

Edit

Continuity

About 10 minutes from the end, after leaving the British Railways main line station the train is on the British Railways main line and the engine is a British Railways, Western Region, Castle or King class, with a 4-6-0 wheel arrangement and a set of British Railways coaches. In all subsequent shots, the train is on the Longmoor Military Railway and the engine is a much larger Longmoor Military Railway one with a 2-10-0 wheel arrangement and a different set of coaches.

Factual errors

Jim crashes a truck and loses his job due to 'gross negligence'. The police were on the scene instantly - it must be obvious to them that the truck that the Bedford truck that Jim collided with was on the wrong side of the road and thus Jim is almost entirely innocent.

Crew or equipment visible

When Spider speaks to Rick outside the railway junction box the shadow of the camera and cameraman are cast upon the latter by the bright sunlight.

Plot holes

It is never explained why the lorry drivers decide to attack Jim and tie him up rather than help him to retrieve the loot.

Boom mic visible

When Jim walks along with Joey after meeting him from school the shadow of the boom mic is visible momentarily on a wall.
