When Molly is getting ready to go Christmas shopping with her mother, her mother begins to zip up the back of her dress. Molly breaks away and runs to bed to get letters, argues with her mother, still with her dress unzipped. When she runs to fireplace to burn the letters, her dress is zipped.
When Ken and Sylvia meet for the first time at the boathouse, Ken is wearing a red shirt (in plain view even in the moonlight) when he closes the back doors. But when the camera cuts to him getting close to Sylvia, he is wearing a blue shirt.
When Johnny and Molly meet outside church during Christmas break, except for patches of (fake) snow, all foliage and grass is green.
Johnny (Troy Donahue) kisses Molly (Sandra Dee) in the garden with his arms wrapped around hers and hers encircling his lower chest. A close-up shows her arms wrapped around his neck.
When Molly and Johnny go to the fishing shack by the beach, she takes off her blue scarf and sets it down on her left. In a following shot she is shown taking the scarf off her shoulders again and putting it down to her right. Then in the next shot, she takes the scarf sitting on her left and moves it to her right so Johnny can sit down beside her.
When Molly and Johnny go out on the sailboat, blown overboard, and into the storm, where the heck are their life vests? You'd think someone in the boating world would have thought of that.
When Molly and Johnny are out in the sailboat being tossed by the waves, part of the boat (or platform) the camera is on briefly appears in the lower left of the frame.
As the yacht approaches Pine Island the Captain announces Pine Island on the port side, but Richard Egan and Sandra Dee come up on deck and stand on the starboard side of the boat.
When the captain said the island was coming up on port side, the island was on their port side. The fact that the boat came up to the dock on starboard was not an error, as a prior comment said.
