Deborah Kerr and Gregory Peck in Beloved Infidel (1959)

Goofs

Beloved Infidel

Edit

Anachronisms

The story takes place between the years 1936 and 1941, but all of the clothes and hairstyles of Deborah Kerr, as well as those of the other female participants, are strictly in the 1959 mode.
In this story set between 1936 and 1941, not only do the women look very 1950's, but so do the men, whose coats, shirts and ties are not in the correct style of Fitzgerald's time.
After Graham arrives in New York, a shot of her standing on the street shows 1940s and 50s cars reflected in a store window next to her, even though the scene is set in 1936.
In 1937, in Hollywood, Deborah Kerr is driving a 1939 Buick convertible.
