Archers recognized instantly that Robert Vaughn's flimsy little tree-bow could barely send an arrow 20 feet, much less take down game at 20 yards.
Near the beginning of the film, the Symbol Maker (Leslie Bradley) asks his woman, "Where's the boy? Beyond the river?" The left sleeve strap of the Symbol Maker's fur outfit is sewn together. In the next scene, the strap comes undone and he is holding the strap under his left arm. In the next scene, the strap is now tied together with a leather shoelace. Later in the film, this strap is shown tied together in two different places. Apparently there were problems keeping this sleeve strap together throughout the entire film, because it changes constantly.
Some of the cavemen have "farmer's tans."
In the opening scenes of the film, the cave people talk with grunts and unintelligible sounds. But then the Symbol Maker comes into the scene and speaks perfect English. Throughout the rest of the film, everyone then speaks perfect English.
The film's title has one word spelled wrong. "Cave Man" should be spelled without the space between the two words; thus, it should be "Caveman".
Although they are supposed to be "cavemen," the men have combed hair and are clean-shaven.
The cavemen say "Aye" like a sailor.
The hero of the film wears a combat knife on his right hip. Steel will not be invented for another 10,000 years.
