Plot Summary

On a small Mediterranean island live Costanza, her father Urbano, and beachcomber Moore, whom she plans to marry. Into this Eden come two plane crash survivors, supermodel Laura and her playboy friend Wally. The shapely, worldly Laura becomes a bad influence, especially when triangles start to develop. But beyond this, little mysteries lead Laura and Wally to wonder what's going on and who Moore really is. Written by Rod Crawford

Trivia Despite their noticeable lack of chemistry in this lackluster film, Esther Williams and Jeff Chandler embarked on a passionate affair during the making of it. In a controversial move, Williams outed Chandler as a cross-dresser in her autobiography, "Million Dollar Mermaid," citing his penchant for wearing women's clothes as the reason she ended their relationship. Goofs Lovely Esther Williams rarely lets her hair down and only cracks a smile near the very end of the film. Otherwise she appears to insist on being melancholy throughout. See more »
