When picking up his coat and hat to leave his uncle's office, Adam's pipe is in his right hand. But when he turns to leave the pipe's in his mouth.
While talking with his uncle, a few brief shots show Adam packing his pipe while holding the tobacco pouch in his left hand. Then after another cut, the pouch is suddenly gone and he lights the pipe now in that hand.
Near the end when Ditto greets Mrs. Minihan standing at the front fence with the crowd, they talk about gladiolas. She, however, is holding a bouquet of roses, not gladiolas.
The map in the newspaper shown just before election day, captioned "Where Floods Are Devastating China", also appears in several other Columbia Pictures movies, including 23 years earlier in The Whole Town's Talking (1935).
Like many films made in the L.A. area, the trees don't match the season. In the scene where the crowd has gathered outside Skeffington's home the morning after his election night heart attack, the tree on his front lawn is full of green leaves. In early November in New England the leaves should have changed color and even fallen off the tree.
When Frank Jr. bursts into the bedroom to see his dying Father, the doorknob comes apart and the interior knob falls off. The Doctor immediately follows him into the room, and the doorknob is once again intact.
