Victor Mature and Li Hua Li in China Doll (1958)

Goofs

China Doll

Edit

Factual errors

China Burma India (CBI) patch is on the wrong sleeve for a few of the actors - should always be on the left sleeve.
In the beginning of the movie the plane's tail number is backwards (mirror image).
In the opening scene the C-47 is marked "United States Air Force".. The Air Force wasn't created until September 1947, many years after this story took place. The pilots are wearing shoulder patches saying "Army Air Forces".

Revealing mistakes

In the opening scene in the plane there are two brief shots looking directly out of the cockpit. The view swings wildly from side to side and back again, far too quickly for any plane to do, also the pilots hardly move.
When the plane is taking off with the survivors of the bombing at 1 hour, 32 minutes, a white car can be seen in driving the background, twice.

Character error

Given that Shu Jen wanted a traditional Chinese ceremony and no one would have known how it went, it is likely that they would have practised it to ensure it went well, instead of making all the mistakes they did during the wedding.
