- Mark Wilson: You ride, you rope, you sing, you've got more talent than I thought. Anything else?
- Jackie Adams: All right, I give up. You can let go now.
- Mark Wilson: Now, Jackie, that's out of character. You could win top prize money with me anytime, anyplace.
- Eve Tuttle: How have things been?
- Cool Man: Sometimes we eat. Sometimes we think about the things we ain't got to eat.
- Jackie Adams: [singing] You can whistle, You can wink, But in spite of what you think, I'm a good, sweet home type girl, I may not appear naive, But appearances deceive, I'm a good, sweet home type girl...
- Mark Wilson: What's the matter, baby? Don't you like to see your name in the newspapers?
- Jackie Adams: You couldn't put in large enough print. Now, get your hands off!
- Jackie Adams: [singing] My kind of goods aren't - salable, Nobody wants a rare old pearl, But, if somebody should, I'm available, I'm a good, sweet home type girl...
- Jackie Adams: [singing] I've always been a lady, In front of company, But like the tree is shady, There's another side of me, I was - born reckless, So why shouldn't I, Stay reckless, Till the day I die...
- Tex: [singing] You're ridin' for your dinner, You ride for your drink, There's steak for the winner, All juicy and pink...
- Jackie Adams: [singing] I want somethin' to dream about tonight, I'm sick and tired of countin' sheep, From one to ninety-two, A little bit of lovin' will make me sleep, And dream sweet dreams of you...
- Kelly Cobb: What do you do? Rope or - ride?
- Liz: Rope, a little. In a spectator's manner of speaking.
- Liz: I'm having a little party before the rodeo. Want to drive me home.
- Kelly Cobb: I have to work for a living.
- Liz: I'll let you.
- Liz: [looking at a bucking bull] What's it like to ride him? To be on his back?
- Kelly Cobb: You stop living for ten seconds. Your head comes off. You can't think. You can't breathe. You go blind until its all over.
- [Liz, starring into Kelly's eyes, takes a long drag on her cigarette]
- Kelly Cobb: What are you selling?
- Liz: Liz Hunter.
- Kelly Cobb: Is that a name or a new tranquilizer?
- Liz: I'd hate to think of it putting you to sleep.
- Kelly Cobb: I doubt that.
- Jackie Adams: With me I get whistles and propositions from all the wrong characters. From Kelly, all I get is protection. What haven't I got - that low down saddle man wants?
- Papa Gomez: He will wake up.
- Jackie Adams: You didn't see this dream, Papa. Right out of a bedtime story; but, not for children.
- Cool Man: There's one thing I can't do for him. Is make love and break hearts. Or, saddle up with cheap tramps.
- Cool Man: My friend, Kelly.
- [takes a swig of alcohol straight out of the bottle]
- Cool Man: He's a no good, weigh-bellied, oily, bronc sidewinding, snake-eyed, bologna bull. That's what he is.
- Papa Gomez: Si.
- Cool Man: And that's not all. He's buzzard meat. That's what he is. Hittin' me the way he did. My friend. Dirty sage rat.
- Papa Gomez: Si!
- Kelly Cobb: Liz, you're a big girl. You got a *big* checkbook.
- Liz: I've got a big taste for life.
- Kelly Cobb: I tried to tell you Liz, I don't go with it. You and me, we're riding two different horses.
- Liz: You talk to much.
- [kiss]
- Cool Man: [drunkenly] Do you know what I'm gonna do the next time I see that vulture? I'm a gonna wring his neck so hard, till he starts raspin' like a turkey gobblin' his prayers the night before Thanksgiving.
- Papa Gomez: Si!
- Cool Man: And then I'm a gonna spin him around, whomp his rump so hard that it'll make ridin' a brahma bull seem like a hobby horse.
- [takes a swig of alcohol]
- Papa Gomez: Si.
- Johnny: [singing] You lovable you
- Johnny, Johnny's Cowboy Band: Tweet. Tweet.
- Johnny: You kissable you
- Johnny, Johnny's Cowboy Band: Tweet. Tweet.
- Johnny: You hugable, kissable, lovable, dreamable, dreamer come true, You're kisses are dandy, Honest and true, You lovable, kissable, lovable, kissable you...
- Rodeo Girl: Champ, you had me squeeze my heart out for you this afternoon - until it hurt. It hurt bad.
