When Terry is in a nightclub with Della, he is wearing a light jacket and a dark tie. When a policeman stops him on his way home that evening, he is wearing a pale tie with a dark jacket.
The police description of Terry gives his height as 5ft 10in, based on what Jack Conner told them. But Jack only glimpsed Terry through the windscreen of the getaway van when he was sitting behind the wheel - so an accurate estimate of his height would have been impossible.
When Inspector Mason is told of the death of Linders, his demeanour suggests that he knows who the man is. However, when he bumped into Linders earlier upon leaving Milligan's room, he did not seem to know him and walked straight past him.
