Another Rühmann daddy comedy

Warning: Spoilers
Back in the 1950s, the two German Heinzes, Rühmann and Erhardt defined Germany in terms of comedy acting. But occasionally, the former also stepped in more dramatic terrain, such as in this film. Gustav Kampendonk was one of the most successful writers in West Germany around that time and here he adapted Horst Biernath's novel. The title already says that this is another (funny and sad) story about Heinz Rühmann's character's struggles as a father. It runs for approximately 90 minutes and is in color, which was not taken for granted around that time. However, I personally must say that I did not enjoy the watch too much here.. In terms of Rühmann's journey's into the world of fatherhood, I certainly prefer "Wenn der Vater mit dem Sohne". All in all, this film here that co-stars the also fairly successful Marianne Koch, who is in her mid-80s today, is a decent watch for huge Rühmann fans, but everybody else can skip it without missing too much.
