Donald Blackburn would receive a Silver Star for his activities and leadership on the island of Luzon from 1942 to the end of the war in 1945. He would ultimately attain the rank of Brigadier General before his retirement from the army in 1971.
The film begins with a message from The Censorship of Film Acts stating, "This is to certify that THIS FILM HAD BEEN APPROVED AS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN."
