The Americano

Revealing mistakes

The language of Brazil is Portuguese, yet every "native" in this movie either speaks Spanish or a terrible mix of the two.
When Dent first meets the federal police he asks if any of them speaks Engish and the head policeman says he does. Later, after the head policeman is shot, Dent is walking with two of the other policemen and Gato when they enter the barn. Dent says, "Spread out" and the two policemen immediately go left and right, without having to wait for the phrase to be translated by Gato.

Character error

When Silvera's gang stops Sam and Bento in the jungle, Sam says he'll go along with them because "it's hard to argue with four guns." There are five men holding five guns on the pair.
Approximately 19 minutes in, Glenn is shown on a different horse. The 2 horses continue to be used interchangeably throughout the rest of the movie. However the horses are not very close in coloring.
