Donald is selling roasted peanuts from a vending cart at the park, when he sees a flying squirrel. Donald asks the little guy to help him hang a banner for his vending cart, promising a peanut for his help. The flying squirrel helps with the banner and gets his peanut, only to find that it's no good.
When the squirrel asks for another, Donald refuses. This results in a battle of wits as Donald tries to fend off the flying squirrel, using tricks and at one point turning the steam whistle on his peanut cart into a cannon.
