John Ireland and Dorothy Malone in The Fast and the Furious (1954)

Goofs

The Fast and the Furious

Edit

Continuity

The size, shape and location of the smudges on Connie's face change in appearance after the escape from the burning shack.

Factual errors

When Connie and Frank enter the qualifying for the race, there is a line of international flags up to and behind the official (presumably to represent the nationalities of all the drivers), and directly behind him is a New Zealand flag, except the stars in the Southern Cross on the fly are wrong. In the movie they are full white, but in the genuine New Zealand flag, the stars are actually red with white borders.

Revealing mistakes

In the early part of the race, the announcer in the grandstand gives detailed accounts of the racing action long after the cars would have been out of his view.

Miscellaneous

Connie must use a very good hairspray because her hairdo is scarcely disturbed even though she rides in the passenger seat with no windshield in front of her.

Boom mic visible

When watching the first police road block stopping the racers, the boom mic and operator are reflected in the car's windscreen during the entire scene.
Shadow of boom mic visible when Frank and Connie are climbing out of the ditch they were hiding in while the cop car drove past.
