Bogie enters the lifeboat wearing a plain suit but gets out wearing a pinstriped suit.

When Billy, Peterson and the driver push the car for the first time, there are four suitcases tied on its rear. When they do it for the second time, there are only three higher suitcases and when the car falls off the cliff, the four suitcases from the beginning reappear.

Inside the car, Billy has a long lit cigarette in his right hand, but soon after, when he steps down, the cigarette has disappeared.

When the boat arrives at shore and the group come out of the sea, Billy walks after Peterson and stops just behind him. In the next shot, shown from the front, Billy appears on the left side of Peterson.

When Gwendolen is at the mast of the ship stretching on the bar, she is switching from her left to the right one. However, on the next immediate which is a close-up after the four crooks bid her a good morning, she is shown repeating the same action of placing her right leg on the bar.

Early in the film, it can be seen that only the first paragraph of the newspaper article on Vanmeer's death relates to the murder; the second and third paragraphs are about a need for new school buildings.

The car rolling downhill in neutral without a driver follows the curves in the road for a considerable distance before it goes through the wall and falls into the sea. A car rolling downhill in neutral without a driver can only roll in a single constant direction determined by which way the steering wheel is turned, it can't change directions to follow the curves in a road. On this curvy road, the car would either hit the wall or the mountain side within a few feet and be stopped, it won't have enough speed to go through the wall. The "driverless" car "rolling in neutral" down the hill obviously had a driver steering the car down the hill, likely in gear.

When Ahmed, the Arab Inquisitor first appears on screen, he is wearing a woman's mock turtleneck blouse with a mesh applique, outlined with satin ribbon and a bow.

In the opening scenes, the town's children and people stare at the actors and camera. Some faces even look puzzled, trying to figure out what's happening. Apparently, they just used "real" people instead of professional actors perhaps filming them guerrilla style.

When where the three of them are being driven in the car, the driver's steering so poorly matches the scenery outside that at times when he turns to the right the view out front moves as if he were turning left..

In Harry and Gwendolyn's first dialog scene on the street, the shadow of a boom microphone can be seen on the wall behind them.
