John Derek, Charles Bickford, Broderick Crawford, and Wanda Hendrix in The Last Posse (1953)

Goofs

The Last Posse

Edit

Continuity

Throughout the movie, sheriff Fraser wears his gun in a right-hand holster on his right hip. At approximately 44 minutes into the picture while Drune, on horseback, is riding past the sheriff, repeatedly knocking him to the ground, the sheriff lands on the ground mostly on his right side, at which time his gun and holster are on his left side.

Miscellaneous

During the sandstorm, two hats are seen blowing away in the winds. But, after it's over, all the characters still have their hats.
In the fist fight between John Derek and Skip Homeier the faces of the stuntmen, doubling for them, can clearly be seen in mid-shot.

Plot holes

Jed is treated as a son by Drune and would be his beneficiary upon his death. In that case the ranch and the $105 thousand would both be his so why would he make a deal with the others to split the cash? His shooting of Drune was justified as Drune was shooting at the sheriff at the time and Jed saved the sheriff's life so there was really nothing to cover up. When Jed comes clean and tells the truth at the end it is really to his advantage as he would likely get Drune's full estate, including the cash.
