Both the key powered vehicles, and the red wagon (possibly a Radio Flyer) were popular toys of the era.
Accurate and humorous depictions of background scenes, both human mouse sized, are shown, as was common in animation's golden age. From the ink bottle to the modern mid century desk clock, to the cleverly depicted mouse house accessories (Acme makes a cameo here), it's a visual delight.
The rodent moving team bears a slight resemblance to the popular comedy sketch characters of Ralph and Ed from what would become the TV sitcom The Honeymooners a few years later (1955). The premise of the show had already been broadcast during the early fifties as comedy sketches in several variety shows hosted by Jackie Gleason, who portrayed the hapless but lovable Ralph Kramden.
