Its a dog eat dog (wolf) world !

Kirby Grant stars in this action-filled western adventure from 1950. Grant, of "Sky King " fame, is a Canadian Mountie here --- hot on the trail of a wolf, along with the help of his trusty canine partner. Action, suspense and adventure are to be found here in a fun outing

Milburn Stone co-stars as a Doctor, in a role that is reminiscent of his later "Doc Adams" role in Gunsmoke. This film was fun and exciting and should appeal to fans of Jack London, "Sky King " and the similar "Sgt. Preston of the Yukon". In a time where many films were filled with singin' cowboys, this adventure film offers a fine alternative.

Snow Dog is one to be pursued !

SYNOPSIS: Mountie MacDonald decides that an outbreak of killings by a wolf is actually engineered by human agents.

NOTES: Number three of the ten-picture "Chinook" series. The others, in order of release: Trail of the Yukon (1949), followed by The Wolf Hunters, Snow Dog, Call of the Klondike, Yukon Manhunt, Northwest Territory, Yukon Gold, Fangs of the Arctic, Northern Patrol, and finally Yukon Vengeance (1954).

COMMENT: In some ways, this "B" is well out of the usual rut - even the hero gets knocked cold!

Acting is above average, the direction's very snappy and the scenery really impresses - thanks to the most attractive photography provided by William Sickner.
