Kim (1950)

Goofs

Kim

Edit

Continuity

The Lama's begging bowl changes. When Kim first begs for food for the Lama, the bowl is reasonably large and black. When the Lama is eating the food Kim first obtains for him, the bowl is small and white with a blue pattern on the outside. When Kim begs for food from the lady with the baby, the bowl is the same size as the first bowl but is now dark blue.
Kim shouts for the driver to stop and the cart comes to a skidding halt. The camera cuts away for dialogue between Kim and his schoolmate and then back to the cart stopped on the street. The horse manure that was beneath the cart when they stopped is suddenly gone and the street is clean.
Near the end, Kim's string of beads alternates between being tucked inside his jacket in full shots and hanging outside the coat, draped over his lapels, in close-ups

Revealing mistakes

When Kim is being pulled back up from the cliff ledge, safety wire is visible.
When Kim falls through the matted ceiling into the harem, the cutaway marks in the mat are visible before he hits it.

Errors in geography

When Kim is delivering a message in the evening, a Chuck-will's-widow can be heard calling. This species is found in the Western Hemisphere only.
