Goofs

Destination Murder

Edit

Continuity

When Alice is at Jackie's apartment, she sees the car arrive with Laura and Jackie. She sees the car pull into a car park defined by painted lines, beside a concrete footpath/sidewalk with parking meters. However, the scenes shot below when Jackie leaves the car show no parking meters, no painted parking space, and grassy patches on the footpath/ sidewalk.
When Armitage goes to beat Jackie, Stretch starts the player piano. During the beating there is a shot of Alice checking her makeup, but in the background the keys on the piano are not moving.
When Laura is being interviewed for the job, her position changes between shots as she goes to sit down. Initially, she is side-on to the chair, but in the next shot she is shown facing the chair.
When Alice and Laura are talking in the Ladies Room, the position of Laura's cigarette tray changes depending upon whether the shot is of the reflection in the mirror or is from the other side of the room.

Miscellaneous

There are no locks or bolts on the back door at the club, or if there is a lock, it is one in the door knob, which is the least secure type of lock available.

Plot holes

When Alice at Stretch's apartment she hears a player piano, goes in to the next room looking for it and is murdered by Armitage. However when Stretch is turning over the club to Armitage, Armitage suggests bringing the player piano from the club to Stretch's apartment.
