This is the fifth western Tim Holt made in 1950. It has the same directorial style of Holt's 1940s films. Director George Archainbaud gave it the look as Holt's long-time director, Lesley Selander. Holt was 31 years old when this film was made: he started his western film career in 1938 in The Renegade Ranger (1938) at age 19.
