There's no small roles

The movie is very good. The first half revolves around Cantinflas being a Fireman and the second half him being a policeman.

What I see strange, is that the credits show only 10 names, including Cantinflas, and then when we watch the movie we can spot at least 20 more people, women in their majority, with bigger roles than the first 10, all of them uncredited.

I know that credits belong to those who spend more time on screen, but here, everybody gets dialog and screen time, and only a few get their credits. Not to sound disrespectful, but I think it is important to us, who watch the movies, to get to know each and every one of the people in the movie...

Not the best but quite funny indeed

El Bombero Atomico is clearly what would be called a vehicle for its iconic star. Cantiflas was, and still is, the best comic ever to grace Mexican cinema. His style was so unique and tied to language, sadly, it could not be replicated outside the Spanish language.

This is not the best movie Cantinflas made. You expect a movie with a tittle of the Atomic Fireman to have, you know, Cantinflas as a fireman. Well, he is only for a while, then he precedes to become a police man. The plots are not really good. There are some really visible goofs and the ending is kind of rush.

None of that matters, of course, because the film is so incredible charming and utterly funny that I just have to forgive any mistake. The sequence where Cantiflas goes as an undercover cop is frankly, hilarious. Also, I am pretty sure that the gag during the fight was the first one, and still by far the best. Although most of the jokes are language oriented, some involved physical comedy and are pretty good. The movie is a jewel. I am writing this review in English because Cantinflas' movies are quite popular and famous among Spanish speakers.

funniest movie ever...

Warning: Spoilers
Oh man...when I first saw this movie I was 4 years old and It's been one of my personal favorites ever since!! ^-^ that man is sheer genius. There is one specially funny scene in which a hotel is burning and he has to go in and see if there are still people inside and when he finds some men playing poker instead of telling them that the building is on fire he starts playing with them!!it's great stuff :) Cantinflas is one of the best Mexican actors there were...sadly he is no longer among us, but hopefully maybe one day another great talent will emerge and relight the flame that went out with Mario Moreno's death. Chaplin himself praised this man's talent. ;)
