When Irma (Marie Wilson) falls down the hole in the street in the first scene of the movie, a pair of hands can be seen catching her.
No self-respecting construction company in NYC would dig a six-foot hole (in the sidewalk) without blocking it off from pedestrian traffic to protect themselves from lawsuits if anyone falls in. Yet Irma falls into the SAME unblocked hole TWICE in a few days.
