Dana Andrews and Susan Hayward in My Foolish Heart (1949)

Goofs

My Foolish Heart

Edit

Continuity

After the December 7, 1941 football game at the Polo Grounds, Eloise is climbing the stairs to the train platform, and the ends of her head scarf are out.. In the next shot, the ends of her scarf are tucked inside her coat. (A double was probably used at the Polo Grounds as Eloise's face is not seen climbing the stairs, and Susan Hayward was used in the next shots done at the studio.)
At about the 34 minute mark when Eloise is reading a telegram the close up shows a thumb with very dark polish, but Susan Hayward has on light-colored polish.
When Mary Jane passes the house at the beginning of the film, the gate across the driveway is closed and there is no mailbox visible. When she backs up, a large mailbox appears where she can read the name. Also, the hedge along the front is suddenly much lower so she can see the house. Then when she pulls forward, the driveway gate is open.
When Eloise and Mary Jane enter the house at the beginning of the film, the panel arrangement of the front door is different from the outside to the inside. From the outside, they also seem to be entering a vestibule with a closet on an inner doorway. But from the next shot from inside, all that has disappeared.

Anachronisms

Eloise meets her father at the airport sometime in late 1941 or early 1942, and a large sign in the background reads "LaGuardia Airport". It was not officially named that until 1947.
