Goofs

A Letter to Three Wives

Edit

Continuity

For Deborah's car's exterior shots, a Ford was used, but for the interior shots it's a Mercury. The cars are very similar, but note the "Mercury" on the glove box, and the difference in the dashboards when Rita runs up to the car for a few seconds.
(at around 20 mins) Brad Bishop and his wife Deborah Bishop are drinking martinis in their bedroom, which are dark-colored in the B&W film. Moments later, when Rita Phipps pours two drinks out of the same pitcher, the martinis are light-colored. However, when Phipps hands Deborah her drink, she consumes a dark-colored drink from her glass.
(at around 1h 2 mins) When the train first goes by Finney's house, a can bounces around and eventually falls over on a shelf. After Lora Mae walks into the room, the can is standing upright.
(at around 5 mins) George and Deborah's positions change while they are talking by the car at the beginning of the film.

Revealing mistakes

In one scene, a P-trap under a sink is shown leaking a huge amount of water. Being a drain, a P-trap would not leak unless the water was left on.
(at around 1h 40 mins) The wire used to tip over the glass is visible.
(at around 29 mins) When Deborah and Brad dance, she swings her head back and forth. She has blurry vision of her (stationary) friends who should be swaying.
