When Chick comes out of the water, his hair is dry even though he had been completely underwater. Then he goes to Lucas's cabin and takes off his wet clothes, and his hair is wet.
When Sheriff Hampton Will Geer lights the lamp, his shadow is cast on the wall. Yet the angle is wrong, and the shadow should be further to the right. Moments later, as the sheriff holds the lamp to his front, his shadow is too far to the right. His shadow should have been to the left and behind him. Instead, both angles are about 30 degrees off.
As Lucas turns around at the door to the jail, a moving shadow of the boom microphone is visible on the back of a spectator in a leather jacket with another man's hand on the jacket.
