Continuity

Lt. Landers stumbles into the hotel soaking wet and passes out. The next scene he is being treated by a doctor in his room - same suit bone dry.
The calendar behind the hotel desk and the calendar at the sheriff's office are not the same and could not possibly be for consecutive months (based on the number of days and the day on which each month begins). Also, those calendars do fit months in 1948 and/or 1949, but the date on the telegram Landers get on a Tuesday morning could only be correct in June of 1950, which is not consistent with the earlier-seen calendars.
Outside Andy's hotel room in L.A., three residents leave towards the right after being questioned. However, when Landers enters Andy's room, it is shaped in such a way that there could not be a hallway to the right.

Character error

Like any decent detective, Landers carefully checks Andy's hotel room -- except he never opens the bathroom/closet door to check that space.
