Goofs

Criss Cross

Edit

Continuity

When Steve and Pop leave the armored truck to carry the payroll bags into the company, Steve has 3 bags and Pop has 2. After the explosion, Steve has 2 and Pop has 3.
When a flurry of gas smoke bombs was unleashed during the robbery attempt; one of the robbers dressed as a milkman had put on a gas mask. But on the following cut as he was fleeing in the middle of all the smoke while holding on to the side of the car; his face was now uncovered.
When Steve is in Union Station; Anna walks by him to the information booth and grabs a schedule card. But on the next cut while the newsstand clerk bends down to pick up a pack of cigarettes; Anna repeats that same action of grabbing a schedule card.
In the hospital room, Pete tells Steve that Slim will send a gunman through the door to his room. The next shot of the door shows it is closed. In the following shots, without Pete going near it or anyone coming in, the door is open.
When Frank the bartender asks Steve why he's trying to strike up a conversation, he holds up his hand and points a pencil at him. When the shot changes, his hand has suddenly dropped.

Revealing mistakes

During the holdup fight, Steve shoots Slim at close range, but it is obvious that he is not pointing the gun at him.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When Anna is playing the piano, she removes her hand from the piano for a short while but the music keeps playing.

Crew or equipment visible

(at around 1hre 5 mins) As Mr. Lancaster is getting out of the armored truck, he pauses on the running board and looks around - as he does so, the side-view mirror pans across the film crew.

Plot holes

The flashbacks are presented as Steve's memories. But one scene at the armored car office continues after he leaves. How could he know what had happened?
Slim tries to kill Steve, but Steve is able to shoot Slim in the leg. When it comes to hand-to-hand combat between the two, the impression is given that Steve finally manages to shoot Slim down - although he obviously misses ! Makes no sense at all in the further course of action.

Character error

The door for employees at the armored car company misspells "Employees Only" by putting an apostrophe before the S.
When Anna returns to her table after dancing; she sees Steve, gets excited and runs to him. But in the previous shot when she is dancing; at one point after a closeup of Steve, she looks toward his direction and makes a quick subtle reaction as if she noticed him.
