Celeste Holm and Loretta Young in Come to the Stable (1949)

Goofs

Come to the Stable

Edit

Continuity

When the nuns first leave the train station with Anthony in the jeep, it has chains on the rear wheels. When they arrive at Mrs. Potts' house, the chains are gone.
With snow on the ground, when sisters appear at the hill at 6:30 AM on which they wish to build their children's hospital, and at various times at the song-writer's home, it is light, rather than dark at that hour as it would be in winter.

Character error

After the tennis match, Sister Scholastica calls Mrs. Townsend-Cooper "Mademoiselle" instead of the correct "Madame" for a married woman.
In asking the bishop to let them stay on after purchasing the building, Sister Margaret tells him they have $301.25 on hand. But they had had to give Mr. Jarman, the real estate agent, a $50 deposit, so in fact they would have had only $251.25 remaining.
