Half way through the safari, Jungle Jim's hat changes from a common fedora hat to a more appropriate jungle-type hat with a white puggaree.
When Rick Vallin, Kolu - Chief of the Masai, falls into lion pit first shot sees one leg bent back while he is lying on ground unconscious. The next shot shows both legs extended. The last shot returns to one bent leg.
Judging by the two brown faced actors in the supporting cast and the mix of extras, the film is set in Asia(places mentioned are fictional), but uses a number of animals not native to the region. Including African lions and leopards, American alligators, and orangutans, which are native to the islands of Indonesia and Borneo.
At start of film Jim is shown taking off boots before diving into water and swimming to help native but then when he gets there he wrestles animal and you can see the soles of the shoes he is wearing.
