Norways first film modernism?
kræser13 June 2005
This movie is about a town manager (Ola Isene) who moves into a dead writers apartment. Here the story unfolds an the main issue of the story is the town managers "new life" in that apartment. He finds some hidden love letters that belonged to the dead writer, and the love letters are written by his maid Dora (Sonja Wigert). One day, the maid are coming back to get them and the town manager falls in love with her. He uses the letters to get close to her and step by step he is overtaking the dead mans persona to become the man that stole the maids heart. In the end he is a completely different man. He's got the identity of a dead writer.

The movie is in a subjective setting with voice over, dramatic camera angels and some of the mise en scène contains Norwegian Kai Fjell's modernism art paintings. This early gem of the Norwegian modernism film history is a enjoyable feature to watch.
