The Black Arrow (1948)

Goofs

The Black Arrow

Edit

Continuity

The reward poster for the capture of Richard Sheldon differs between the close and distant shot. The text differs between the posters as well.

Factual errors

Given the low level of literacy during the 15th Century, it is very unlikely that the peasantry could read a reward poster. The peasantry would have relied on a town crier for such news.
As a member of the nobility, Sir Harry Sedley would have been executed by beheading and not by an arrow.

Miscellaneous

At 33:13 in the film, when Richard fights the guards on the battlement, one of the guards runs into the fight and can barely be seen banging his head on the doorway.

Anachronisms

Lady Joanna's dress is done up by a zipper up the back.

Crew or equipment visible

Padding can be seen under Richard Shelton's costume when he is shot by the arrow.
